Next up on the Social front is a BBQ at Rob Sharam's on the 21st August from 6:30 (5:00 pm if you fancy a run first! - shower available). The event is open to all Whippets and their partners so don't worry if you don't know Rob (our Treasurer).

Directions from whitchurch : Best route is B5476 to Tilsock then R at Horseshoes pub. Follow road for nearly 2 miles to reach a village sign 'Whixall'. Continue about 250m (past chapel, road turning to left) to where there is a farm track off to the right. Our house is directly in front of you at the point - or Alkington road to the (burnt out) Wagonners Pub where Turn Left at x roads then its 3rd house on the left (500m up from junction).

Bring your own drinks. Rob says that he will.get some burgers to get food started but offers of foods - salads/ bbq food / cakes are keenly invited and will help to provide the right amount based on numbers attending.

A gas BBQ will be available for cooking if you bring own food. Anyone who wants to camp over is welcome. Rob says he'll probably do a camp fire a bit later on. The field may still be shared with 2 lambs!

'I know its early but the entries for the 2010 PUMA Hell Up North are now open. Could you put a note on the website that the event is on 7th November, there is a morning and afternoon race this year (I've entered the morning one), the race fills up quickly and its great fun!'
