CLUB MARATHON BALLOT

Virgin London Marathon Club Ballot

All being well, the club is entitled to a number of "Club Places" in the London Marathon. The number of places we get is determined by the number of members we have. This year we anticipate that we may only be entitled to 1 place.

In the interest of fairness, we allocate places by way of a ballot that takes place at the club's annual birthday bash.

New rules for the Club Marathon Ballot are being introduced this year. They are aimed at biasing the ballot towards club members who have not yet run the London marathon and have been unsuccesful in previous club ballots

Eligibility:

  1. You must have applied for a place in the Virgin Marathon Ballot and been rejected.
  2. You must be a first claim member at the time of the ballot
  3. You will need to have paid your subs for 2018 before the ballot
  4. You must not have had a place in the London Marathon for 2016 or 2017

Places in the ballot

  1. Everyone who enters the ballot gets one ticket with their name on in the ballot
  2. You get an extra ticket for being present on the night
  3. One extra ticket for each year you have been unsuccessful in the club ballot. If previously you have won a ballot place then unsuccessful years count from then
